At Petite Therapy, we understand that some children learn best outside of traditional school settings. Our EOTAS practice provides specialist Occupational Therapy, Ayres Sensory Integration®, and Play Therapy for children and young people accessing education other than at school.

Many of the children we support experience autistic burnout, sensory overload, or PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profiles, which can make everyday demands and school routines feel overwhelming. We take time to understand each child’s unique sensory, emotional, and developmental profile, adapting therapy to reduce stress, rebuild trust, and restore a sense of safety and confidence in daily life.

We already work in partnership with numerous teachers, personal assistants, and learning mentors across various EOTAS and alternative education settings. Together, we create a strong, multidisciplinary team around each child, ensuring that therapeutic approaches are understood, embedded, and carried through into daily routines — supporting consistency and progress across home, education, and community environments.

We also work with families whose children are waiting for a suitable school placement or specialist provision. By building a team around the family, we provide stability and therapeutic continuity during uncertain times — helping children maintain regulation, confidence, and engagement in meaningful daily activities while transitions are being planned.

Our focus is on helping every child feel safe, regulated, and empowered through playful, practical, and interest-based strategies that promote confidence, participation, and wellbeing. Where appropriate, we provide ongoing communication, reports, and goal reviews to contribute to EOTAS packages, ensuring therapy remains purposeful, measurable, and aligned with each child’s wider developmental outcomes.
