Our priority: continuity of care for families we assess
We want every person to receive safe, effective support that is truly individual and co-produced. To honour this, our treatment and follow-up appointments are prioritised for families who have completed their assessment with us. This approach lets us carry our duty of care from assessment through intervention, use the measures we have gathered, and stay closely aligned with your goals.
Why we work this way
Safety and quality. Effective intervention relies on a thorough assessment that we know well, so we can tailor a just-right challenge and review progress confidently.
Continuity and trust. Keeping assessment and treatment within the same team minimises delays, prevents mixed messages, and supports clear communication.
Fair access. Prioritising our assessed families ensures those already in our care are not left waiting for planned support.
If you were assessed elsewhere
We understand many families have reports from other providers. While we cannot promise immediate treatment based on an external assessment, we can offer:
Transfer-of-care assessment. A focused review that bridges your existing report into our approach, confirms goals, and sets a shared plan.
One-off consultation. Advice, signposting, and practical next steps you can take now, including how best to work with your current provider or local services.
Waiting list option. If capacity allows, we can add you to our list for a transfer-of-care assessment and will keep you updated.
What we will always do
Be transparent about scope, fees, timescales, and capacity.
Share information with your consent and collaborate respectfully with other professionals.
Provide clear recommendations you can act on, even when we cannot offer immediate treatment.
Urgent and safeguarding concerns
We are not an emergency service. If you have urgent worries about safety or health, please contact your GP, NHS 111, emergency services, or your local authority’s safeguarding team.
